Stunning View over Lisbon

We begin at the statue of Our Lady of the Mountain (Miradouro da Senhora do Monte) outside the chapel associated with the first of the patron saints – St Gens. Your guide will give an overview of her life and of Lisbon’s history, illustrated in the panoramic cityscape before your eyes.
2

Monastery of St Vincent

We proceed downhill through the charming district of Graca until we arrive at the Monastery of St Vincent, where we’ll talk all about the life and legacy of Lisbon’s second patron saint.
3

Porta do Sol

From the monastery we’ll continue on to the spellbinding Porta do Sol viewing area of the old Moorish city walls that overlook the bay. Here, we’ll contemplate the martyrdom of St Vincent.
4

Lisbon Cathedral

The climax of our tour covers Lisbon Cathedral (Sé de Lisboa), where St. Anthony was baptised and schooled. We’ll explore the cathedral interior and admire its magnificent architecture.
5

House of St Anthony

We conclude our tour at the birthplace St Anthony the miracle worker, where we’ll also see a fragment of his bones. After our Crucis Patron Saints of Lisbon Tour we highly recommend exploring the enchanting streets of the medieval Alfama district, where you can grab some much-needed refreshment and soak up the atmosphere of this characteristic and unique neighbourhood.
