Jubilee Year 2025 – 4 Major Basilicas & Holy Doors – 2 Day Pilgrimage

The 4 Major Basilicas & Holy Doors 2 Day Pilgrimage

IMPORTANT: Pilgrims wishing to pass through the Holy Doors during the Jubilee Year must register and book time slots here.

In anticipation of the opening of the Holy Doors throughout the Holy Year of the Jubilee in 2025, this Crucis 4 Major Basilicas & Holy Doors – 2 Day Pilgrimage Package offers the unforgettable experience of visiting the most important churches of Rome – the 4 Major Basilicas together with their Holy Doors.

Pilgrims who enter the Holy Doors of all 4 Major Basilicas can receive a Plenary Indulgence under the normal conditions.

“May pilgrimage be an impetus to conversion: by crossing the threshold of the Holy Door, we will find the strength to embrace God’s mercy and dedicate ourselves to being merciful with others as the Father has been with us.”

– Pope Francis, 20th November 2015.

Our Jubilee Year 2025, 4 Major Basilicas & Holy Doors – 2 Day Pilgrimage Package consists of a package of four separate tours of each of the 4 Major Basilicas with their Holy Doors. that together cover lots of the most important locations for Catholic pilgrims and objects of veneration in Rome. All four of the Major Basilicas are explored, with their rich stories weaved into Catechesis by our expert Catholic guides together with some of Christendom’s holiest relics.

Usually running from Monday to Friday (although private bookings may be tailored to your requirements on request), this 2 day holy doors pilgrimage package creates a condensed grouping of the tours together for those with not much time in Rome.  Of course, pilgrims can look at our standalone major basilica tours too if you wish to create your own configuration through your particular stay.

For a precise breakdown of this 2-Day Pilgrim Package see the Itinerary tab above as well as the individual pages dedicated to each tour.

Rome’s 4 Major Basilicas are St Peter’s, St Paul Outside the Walls, St Mary Major and the Arch-Basilica Cathedral of St John Lateran. The first is surely the most famous church in the world; the last is the highest ranking church in the world. All four are locations of the Holy Doors that will open throughout the Jubilee year of 2025 for pilgrims to pass through and gain a Plenary Indulgence under the normal conditions.

It is also possible to do the four Major Basilicas and their Holy Doors with our other 2 day pilgrimage package – the Holy Doors + Relics 2 Day Pilgrimage which covers not only the 4 Major Basilicas but also visits the most important relics in Rome and has a special focus on the two Pillars of the Church – Sts Peter and Paul.  However this package only runs from on Thursdays to Fridays.

Let Crucis Tours guide you on your pilgrimage to the city where Christianity was founded, the power centre of the world at the time of the Crucifixion and the heart of the Church to this day.

For those who wish to do the 4 Major Basilicas over a longer period and include more of our special Christians tour, during the Jubilee Year, please check out our Pilgrimages page.
